i think every girl out there would want to look fashionable and pretty and so they try.some succeed at it beautifully while the efforts of some just flopped terribly and they end up looking like fashion disasters instead.at least they tried.most times, i'm too lazy to try harder.

i'd lie if i were to say that i don't care at all about how i look.only thing is i find being fashionable takes a lot of time and effort.a lot of time invested in shopping and effort in keeping up with trends, which i hate most cos they keep changing and i hate change.so i just resort to my lazy tshirt and jeans combi (which are not a good fit for me no matter how many times i buy a new pair that it makes me give up altogether cos it's so fucking irritating!).

good god i find it so freaking troublesome to shop online even! i'll be admiring stuffs and then i get all fickle-minded about whether i should get it or not and then i end up not purchasing it altogether.i do admit that shopping can be really fun but its just something that i don't do often.perhaps being fashionable is something that i'll adopt when i have a steady supply of money transferred into my account every month because i don't like to see my savings shrink due to shopping.it makes me feel guilty.and that feeling is not a very nice feeling at all cos most times, the happiness i gain from buying things fail to override the guilt of purchasing something that i will subsequently think i do not need.(haha but there ARE some things that i just can't get enough of and won't feel guilty buying)perhaps what i lack most is impulse.and i'll admit i'm just too fickle minded when it comes to making decisions.or maybe i just detest making decisions altogether.so what i want for hari raya haji is a bigger wardrobe already filled with nice clothes for me without me having to go out and look for it.all in the name of beauty.HAHA.

i think past singers were really talented.they don't have to look handsome or beautiful to garner a lot of fan support.it's saddening to say that these days, what makes a singer is more about their looks and how they are packaged and commercialised in the music industry.they don't need to have great vocals (just look at all those poor live performances that seem to disenchant you from the whole illusion that you previously had of them having great vocals), they just need a catchy tune in their music to make them popular.i don't think they are deserving of such large-scale recognition of it at all when the music that's being fed to us sounds similar; just a few changes in the notes somewhere to make the music products a little differentiated.i wonder if they really think we're that stupid to not realise this.stop it with those modified electronic voices already man..anyone can sound like that with the help of some music technology. it makes me think if one can just place a mediocre singer in the recording studio and make him famous just by packaging him in the way that is desired by the masses. that aside, this is not to say that there exists no real talent in the music industry these days.i do realise that there are real talents our there who totally deserve the recognition. but i think fans are getting overexcited over nothing at times and totally overrating some of these underserving superstars whose voices are greatly aided with the technology available in the recording studios. music has been degraded into mere commodities in this day and age and they just have to feed us with something catchy and we'll be happy and we'll rave about it. whatever happened to originality?

and this entry was born because i watched several videos on youtube of past singers and boy, were they damn good. made me reminisced about the music i used to listen to as a child.just hearing them speak to the audience can make me have goosebumps because their voices are that awesome. sadly, new talents these days rarely have that effect on me anymore.i'm sick of homogeneity in music.
